How can I book a car?
Online at www.zantecar.gr. Just visit our website and follow a simple and quick reservation procedure. Call the Zante Car reservations department on 0030 26950 45511 – 0030 6979914888.
How can I cancel my reservation?
Once you have made your reservation, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail showing your reservation number and rental details. If you need to cancel your reservation please send an e-mail at email@example.com or call the Zante Car reservations department at 0030 26950 45511 - 0030 6979914888.
What do I need to be able to rent a car from Zante Car?
- be 23* years old and have a valid Driving License issued at least one year ago.
- have a Greek, European (for E.U. countries) or International (for countries that don't belong to the E.U.) Driving License
Can someone else other than myself drive the car?
Yes, but you must pay insurance for an additional driver and he must be mentioned in the rental agreement.
How much does it cost to add an additional driver?
The daily cost is 3€.
What should I bring with me when I pick up the car?
When picking up your rental car you need to present the following documents:
- Passport or identity card
- Driving license of each driver
Is there a delivery/collection charge?
Delivery and collection are free.
Is there a kilometer limitation?
No. You have unlimited kilometers on Zakynthos island.
Does the car come with fuel?
Fuel consumption is payable by the renter. We expect the vehicle back with the same level of fuel, when the rental period began. Zante Car does not give refunds for excess fuel.
Can I book a car at Internet prices over the telephone or when I get to your office?
No, our Internet rates are only available online.
What happens if I want to extend the hire longer than agreed?
If you wish to keep the vehicle longer than the contracted period, you must contact Zante Car from which you picked up the car in order to extend your Rental Agreement.
What do I need to check before I pick up the vehicle?
It is very important to check and report any existing damage on the vehicle in order to avoid any charges regarding damage caused by a previous renter. You must sign a form regarding damage to the vehicle upon collection/delivery.
What happens in case of Breakdown or if an accident occurs?

What is the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) insurance?
All our cars can be rented with Super Collision Damage Waiver with no excess that covers repair cost including damages to interior, glass screens, rims, canvas roofs, wheel covers, mirrors, the antenna, car roof, tires, underside of the vehicle and other accessories. SCDW is optional and you can request it locally. The cost per day to benefit SCDW is 7€. It is valid only under the condition that the Greek traffic law has not been violated.
Can I transport the car by ferry?
It is forbidden without an advanced written authorization by Zante Car. In the case of ferrying the car, you have to return the car to the pickup point, otherwise all transportation costs will be charged to you.
What is the policy on off-road driving?
Zante Car’s vehicles, including 4-wheel drives, are to be operated only on regularly maintained roads. Off-road use violates the rental agreement and the Greek Traffic Law.
